Tropical storm Nock-Ten struck northern and central Vietnam on 30 and 31 July causing minor damage to houses and crops. Some flights in the affected regions were cancelled due to strong wind and heavy rain.

Kindly be informed that weather conditions in Ha Long Bay are now fine and tour boats are permitted to resume their operations as normal after a 2-day suspension.

Another tropical depression is forecast to affect northern Vietnam within the next few days and may cause scattered showers across the region.
